About Me
Background and Training
I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Union College in Schenectady, NY in 1991. I was awarded my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Albany in 1998 where my clinical training included work at a university counseling center, career development center, community mental health center, and inpatient psychiatric hospital. I completed my pre-doctoral training at the Cleveland VA hospital and my post-doctoral training at Case Western Reserve University’s counseling center. In these settings I provided individual and group therapy to a diverse population with a variety of psychological concerns.
Additionally, since my licensure in 2002, I have completed several continuing education programs in the area of Health Psychology including specialized training in Mind/Body Medicine, online coursework in Interpersonal Neurobiology, and the completion of a certificate program in Primary Care Behavioral Health. I am licensed in New York and New Hampshire.
